異なる距離にある2枚のレイヤーに線を施し、それらが重なることでモアレ現象が発生する。この現象によって、物体としてのアクリル板やボードの存在感は後退し、線という単位だけが際立って知覚される瞬間が生まれる。
本来は空間的に離れて存在している2つの物体が、線という共通の要素によって視覚的に接続され、物体という文脈を離れて「線の干渉」という純粋な現象として立ち現れる。線たちは視点や傾きに応じて交差したり離れたりを繰り返し、平面を超えた新たな模様を生成していく。
物体ではなく、線という要素同士の出会いや干渉に視点を置くことで、距離や形といった構造的な認識を一度解体し、現象としての可視化を試みた。
I created a mobile that moves with the wind.
Two layers—a foreground acrylic sheet and a background board—are placed at different depths, each printed with lines that, when overlapped, produce a moiré effect. This phenomenon causes the presence of the physical materials to recede, allowing only the element of "line" to emerge as a perceptual focus.
Although the two layers are spatially separated, the shared element of the line visually connects them. Removed from the context of physical objects, what appears is a pure phenomenon: the interference between lines. Depending on the viewer’s position and the tilt of the surfaces, the lines intersect, separate, and continuously generate new patterns that extend beyond the flat plane.
By shifting the focus from the objects themselves to the encounter and interaction of lines, I aimed to momentarily dismantle our structural perception of distance and form, and instead visualize a phenomenon in its own right.
